Carmichael Residences
Carmichael Residences
Carmichael Residences, a high-end residential development, elevates the greenery of Carmichael Road through a series of naturally ventilated indoor-outdoor residences.
The 21-floor, 70-meter-tall tower’s facade features slimline windows, shading screens, and integrated railings. Oriented towards the west, it maximizes ocean views and breezes while mitigating heat gain with high-performance glazing, deep projection shades, and operable aluminum sunscreens in a wooden finish.
Clad in high-performance, fully operable glazing, with deep chajjas that shield each unit from the sun and monsoon rain, the greenery cascades down the chajjas, lending additional shading and detail to the building’s silhouette.
Distinguished by western red cedar soffits accented with plantings visible across all the floors, the design elegantly befits its surroundings while embracing passive design strategies inspired by the architecture of the region. The driveway winds toward an elevated and private lobby clad in curved glass and the same red western cedar wood. The building, designed as a vertical landscape, leverages the biophilic identity of Carmichael Road. Sliding wooden screens open each unit’s terrace to breezes and extraordinary views, also providing privacy and protection against inclement weather when closed.
